In addition to the parks managed by Coweta County Recreation and the local golf courses, residents can also explore the nearby historic town of Senoia. Sharpsburg’s official population numbers only a few hundred, but the 3,000 people who live in the adjacent unincorporated areas are considered part of the Sharpsburg community as well. The working population is largely employed in the areas of education and social services, manufacturing, construction, transportation and warehousing, and retail trade. Sharpsburg-area students attend Coweta County public schools. The district in total operates 29 campuses, with five of these located in Sharpsburg. The five Sharpsburg campuses serve a student enrollment numbering roughly 4,800.
